Target setting/benchmarks

You would want a majority or at least a good share of the online voice compared to your key competitors. However, the target depends on the number of actual competitors. If there is only one other competitor then your target would be 50% or higher. If you are comparing yourself to 10 other competitors, then your target would be anything above 10%.

Example

Let’s look at the top fast-food burger chains as an example, using the Social Mention platform (http://socialmention.com). You simply type in the names of the brands you want to search for, e.g. McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and Hardees.
